Ambassador to China meets Chinese diplomat

Manama, Nov. 14 (BNA): Bahrain’s Ambassador-Designate to China met with the Director General of the Department of West Asian and North African Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China Ambassador Wang Di. Ambassador Wang Di congratulated the diplomat on being appointed as Bahrain ambassador to China, wishing him success in carrying out his duties. He also stressed the depth of the bilateral relations, and the keenness of the ministry represented by the Department of West Asian and North African Affairs to promote cooperation with the embassy. Ambassador Sheikho praised the strong relations between the two countries at all levels, stressing the importance of strengthening cooperation and coordination in various fields. He also reviewed the outcome of joint efforts between Bahrain and China in combating COVID-19 pandemic, and discussed ways to promote cooperation in this field. The two sides discussed topics of common interest.
