Ambassador to Egypt receives LAS Assistant Secretary General

Cairo, Feb. 4 (BNA): The Ambassador-Designate of Bahrain to Egypt and the Kingdom’s Permanent Representative of the Arab League, Hisham bin Mohammed Al Jowder, received the League of Arab States (LAS)’ Assistant Secretary General and Head of Arab Affairs and National Security Sector, Ambassador Khalil Ibrahim Al Thawadi. The ambassador stressed the importance of the role played by the LAS in supporting and protecting Arab national security against regional and international interventions in Arab countries’ internal affairs. He said that Bahrain, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, is keen on strengthening the bonds of joint Arab action and supports all efforts made in combating terrorism. Ambassador Al Thawadi praised Bahrain’s active role in promoting the process of joint Arab action. The meeting also discussed means of cooperation between the Kingdom and the Arab Affairs and National Security Sector at the League, in addition to the most important political and security developments in the Arab countries.
