Ambassador to Italy meets Regional Coordinator at FAO Director General’s Office

Rome, May 31 (BNA): The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Italian Republic, Dr. Nasser Mohammed Al-Blushi met virtually with the Regional Coordinator at the Office of the Director-General at the Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) and Chair of the Committee on Commodity Problems, Dr. Khaled Altaweel. During the meeting, they discussed frameworks for cooperation between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the FAO for the development and enhancement of the agricultural, animal, and fish production sectors within the Strategic Partnership Framework between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United National 2018-2022, which aims to exchange experiences and support future projects. Khaled Altaweel gave a technical explanation on the nature of the existing programmes at the FAO and how to benefit from them. Ambassador Dr. Nasser Mohammed Al-Blushi valued the fruitful relations and cooperation between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the FAO in order to build a common vision for the future of the agricultural, animal, and fishery sectors, and to develop their productivity and the quality of their breeds, by investing in the experiences and expertise of the organisation to develop these sectors with the aim of enhancing food security.
