Ambassador patronises UK Bahraini students' meeting

London, Oct. 17 (BNA): The Cultural Attaché in London has organized the first Annual Meeting of the 2016-2017 Academic Year for Bahraini students in the United Kingdom. The event was held under the patronage of Bahrain's Ambassador to the UK Shaikh Fawaz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Shaikh Fawaz congratulated the students on the start of the new academic year and prodded them to study harder, affirming the future role of Bahraini students in the nation-building process in all fields and wishing them success. Cultural Advisor Mani’e Ahmed expressed thanks and appreciation to the embassy for supporting and sponsoring cultural activities and vowed that the cultural section would spare no effort to provide students with the necessary support and to remove any obstacles that may encounter them in their endeavours to realize their academic goals. Te students said the meeting was an important opportunity for them to strengthen the bridges of communications and avail of each other’s experience. The gathering, held in the British city of Leeds, is part of a series of encounters scheduled for this month in UK cities, in prospect of strengthening the social bonds among the Bahraini students, getting them to know one another and helping them to exchange knowledge in addition to familiarizing them with the role and services of the Cultural Section.
