Ambassador to UK participates in discussion held by MENAF

London, Dec. 1 (BNA): Bahraini Ambassador to the United Kingdom, Shaikh Fawaz bin Muhammad Al Khalifa participated in the discussion held by the Cambridge Middle East and North Africa Forum (MENAF). The forum was held under the title (Principles of the Abraham Accords and Regional Cooperation), at the invitation of Ambassador Sir John Jenkins, Member of the Board of Trustees of MENAF, with the participation of UAE Ambassador to the UK, Mansoor Abulhoul, and the Ambassador of Israel to the UK, Tzipi Hotovely, in addition to a number of politicians, and researchers. Shaikh Fawaz mentioned in his speech that the Abraham Accords will lead to greater cooperation between Bahrain, Israel and the countries of the region in general, highlighting the Kingdom’s values of co-existence, tolerance and peace, which is promoted by the rich and diverse Bahraini society. The ambassador pointed out that Bahrain is also distinguished from its counterparts from GCC countries by its Jewish citizens, who are considered to be among the contributing families to the political and economic fields in Bahrain. He also indicated that signing the Accords provides a path to a better future for all people of the region, where everyone can finally achieve their aspirations. The Emirati ambassador referred to the importance of working intensively during the coming period to strengthen cooperation and peace not only between the UAE and Israel, but in the region as whole. The Israeli ambassador thanked the leaders of the three countries for their outlook on a permanent and comprehensive peace in the region, affirming that such relations are very important to Israel. She also reiterated the need to move forward in order to achieve peace and not pay attention to the extremist voices emanating from the parties supporting terrorism in the region.
