The anniversary of “Samruk-Kazyna” fund

Astana, October 12, 2009 (Khabar) - One of the main indexes of fund’s working effectiveness is the volume of brought foreign invests. It was by Prime Minister Karim Massimov in his speech at the grand meeting on the occasion of the anniversary of Sovereign Wealth Fund. The head of governments thinks that it is time to revise the ways of “Samruk-Kazyna” fund to attract the foreign capital. Next year work of the fund will be estimated by the volume of non-raw export, amount of new investment projects, the level of development of private businesses and the level of corporate governance. The most important aim in cooperative work of government and the fund till the end of the year is the GDP increase despite of outside challenges to the country’s economics.

Karim Massimov, Prime Minister of RK:
- The primary goal to the end of this year is to obtain the positive growth of GDP. So you must do everything for that. And we as the government should take all necessary decisions to make it happen.
