Arab frontline cadres to be honoured with Voluntary Work Award

Manama, June 26 (BNA): Cabinet Affairs Ministry Undersecretary, Honorary President of the Good Word Society, HH Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa, stated that in appreciation of the cadres working on the front lines to combat the coronavirus (Covid-19), the 12th edition of the Voluntary Work Award has been allocated to honor the Arab cadres working in The front lines, who had and still have clear contributions in their societies through their noble humanitarian actions during the coronavirus pandemic.
HH Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa praised the efforts and courage of the front line workers in safeguarding the community, pointing out the role of the award in promoting the culture of dedication and patriotism. He added that the award reflects the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the prominent and dedicated national efforts of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to promote the values of volunteerism as a pillar for growth and development.
His Highness pointed out success of the award since its inception in 2011 to promote communal interest in voluntary work and gain Arab and regional attention, which reflects the civilisational heritage of the Kingdom of Bahrain that enshrines humanitarian values and solidarity. He also praised the dedicated efforts of Chairman and members of the Good Word Society and all its affiliates in serving voluntary and humanitarian work.
It is worth noting that the Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa Award for Voluntary Work is granted in September of each year, in conjunction with the celebrations of the Arab Volunteer Day, which is observed on September 15. It is organized by the Good Word Society in cooperation with the Arab Voluntary Union and aims to encourage volunteers to provide Innovative solutions through voluntary work, contribute to facing various challenges and crises, and promote the culture of voluntary work.
