Arab Observatory for Human Rights voices solidarity with Bahrain

Manama, Dec.18 (BNA): The Arab Observatory for Human Rights, an offshoot of the Arab Parliament, rejected the resolution which was issued by the European Parliament regarding human rights in the Kingdom of Bahrain. It stressed the need to stand to all attempts to defame Arab countries, interfere in their internal affairs or disrespect their sovereignty. It voiced full solidarity with the Kingdom of Bahrain, backing all measures to protect its security and stability. In a statement, it noted Bahrain’s human strides in line with the highest international standards, calling on the European Parliament to stop interfering under the pretext of human rights. It highlighted the need to recognize positive steps being taken by Arab countries to promote human rights, noting that Bahrain has drawn up national strategies which heed Bahraini social values.
