Arab Parliament Deputy Speaker: Bahrain providing great Arab model in supporting, empowering youth

Manama, Aug. 11 (BNA): Arab Parliament Deputy Speaker Nabeel Al Assoumi has praised Bahrain’s efforts in supporting and empowering youth in various fields, which led to numerous achievements across several areas. The coronavirus pandemic, for instance, proved that Bahraini youth are a dependable component in the various sites thanks to the resources provided by the Kingdom to support the younger generation, he said. In a statement on the occasion of the International Youth Day, Al Assoumi said that Bahrain, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, has paid great attention to supporting and empowering the youth and has accomplished numerous achievements thanks to the unlimited support provided to the important sector. The tremendous support is reflected in the vision of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Representative of HM the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, who laid down plans and strategies to support youth by providing all the requirements to enhance their skills refinement and boost their aptitudes through participating in activities that included the youth city, the global youth ship and the youth leadership programs, he added. The Deputy Speaker also praised the great role of the government that amended the age of young people in Bahrain, in accordance with the best international practices. He stressed that the First Deputy Prime Minister (FDPM) Fellowship Program, which hones Bahraini youth, develop their cognitive and leadership abilities, prepare them to participate actively in enhancing the government’s work on the basis of quality, creativity and innovation, complements HM the King’s vision to empower young people.
