Arab Parliament's role praised

Manama, Jan. 9 (BNA): Representatives Council Speaker Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal has praised the key role of the Arab Parliament in defending Arab issues and interests as well as boosting joint work of the Arab parliaments. She was speaking during the coordination meeting held in her office today with the parliamentary delegation that will take part in the second meeting of the fourth session of the second legislative term of the Arab parliament which will convene in Egypt. The delegation comprises Deputy Speaker of the Arab parliament MP Adel Abdelrahman Al-Asoomi and member MP Mamdooh Abbas Al-Saleh. The Representatives Council Speaker emphasised the council’s keenness to boost cooperation with the Arab parliament and back its resolutions. She stressed that the challenges facing the Middle East require intensified efforts to enhance pan-Arab cooperation. She wished success to the Arab Parliament in taking decisions aimed at serving pan-Arab work and boosting the comprehensive development efforts in the Arab countries.
