ARC Music to publish “From Shiraz to Baku” in Europe

TEHRAN,May 1(MNA) -- UK-based ARC Music plans to publish the Persian-Azeri album “From Shiraz to Baku” in Europe in the near future. The album is a joint production of Iranian setar virtuoso Hamid Motebassem, tombak player Pejman Hadadi and Azeri kamancheh virtuoso Imamyar Hasanov. Entitled “Passage to Dawn”, the album was released by an Iranian recording studio in 2008. The trio performed pieces of the album during their concert tour Berlin, Frankfurt, Aachen, Gothenburg, Rotterdam, Venice, Rome, and Milan in 2010. Located in West Sussex, ARC Music has previously published “Journey to Persia”, an album by the Dastan trio which is led by Motebassem. Established in 1976, ARC Music put the spotlight on world music and folk music. With a catalogue of over 700 recordings, it is believed to be one of the largest sources for traditional and modern ethnic music in the world.
