The Armed Forces Sign a Number of Cooperation Agreements in the Military Fields

Doha, March 23 (QNA) - The armed forces signed a number of agreements and Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) in the defense of military fields, during the third day of the Doha International Maritime Defense Exhibition and Conference (Dimdex 2022). The Amiri Air Forces signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Rheinmetall Barzan (a subsidiary of Barzan Holdings), regarding an experimental anti-drone system. The MoU was signed on the Qatari Amiri Air forces' side by Acting Commander of the Qatari Amiri Air Forces Staff Brigadier-General Rashid Ali Al Qashouti. Signing for Barzan Holding was the Vice-President and head of the strategic procurement division, and for Rheinmetall Barzan Advanced Technologies' the company's CEO. The military police signed a contract with the same company to upgrade its infrastructure. Commander of the Military Police Forces Staff Brigadier-General Rashid Mohammed Al Hajri signed the contract. The Qatari Joint Special Forces signed a number of Memoranda of Understanding with a host of local and international companies in defense industries. There were MoU signed with Turkey's Yonca-Onuk, Balhambar factory and Performance Marine, who are leading companies specialized in the maritime defense industry. They produce a number of boats that would enhance the capabilities of the special forces in the maritime field. The Commander of the Joint Special Forces, Staff-Brigadier General Jassim bin Ali Al Attiyah signed the agreements. (QNA)
