Arrest warrants for suspects wanted by Saudi authorities

Manama, Oct. 30 (BNA): As follow up to the statement issued by Saudi Interior Minister regarding the foiling of a major terrorist plot and pursuit of the suspects, including a Bahraini national, the General Director of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science (CIFS) today said that the department coordinates regularly with its Saudi counterpart and that information indicates the Bahraini suspect left the country via the King Fahad Causeway in 2012. CIFS General Director said that immediately after the names of the fugitives were released by the Saudi authorities, arrest warrants were issued for them at Bahrain’s ports as part of the Interior Ministry's counterterrorism strategy that protects lives, property, security and general safety.
