Assistant Foreign Minister meets APF delegation

Manama, Mar. 29(BNA): The Assistant Foreign Minister, Abdulla bin Faisal bin Jabur Al Doseri received a delegation from the Asia-Pacific Forum (APF) representing the national human rights institutions in Asia. Al Doseri affirmed the importance of exchanging visits between officials to promote the human rights field, praising the role of the APF in evaluating and supporting the work of national human rights institutions and raising human rights issues in Asia and the Pacific through a biennial conference in conjunction with the annual meeting which brings together representatives of national institutions, Governments, civil society and international organizations to benefit and exchange experiences and information. The delegation praised the importance of this visit and the cooperation between Bahrain and the Forum, wishing the Kingdom further progress and prosperity. A number of topics of common interest were discussed during the meeting.
