Assistant Foreign Minister meets European Parliament Friends of Bahrain Group

Manama, Sept.23 (BNA): The Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs, Abdulla bin Faisal bin Jabur Al-Doseri, met today, through video conference, with the Head of the “Group of Friends of the Kingdom of Bahrain" in the European Parliament, MEP Tomáš ZDECHOVSKÝ. The virtual session was attended by Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Kingdom of Belgium, the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and the Kingdom of Denmark, and representative to the European Union and NATO, Dr. Bahia Jawad Al Jishi, and a number of members of the “Group of Friends of the Kingdom of Bahrain" in the European Parliament. Al-Doseri welcomed the Head of the Group and its members, stressing the keenness of the Kingdom of Bahrain to promote bilateral cooperation and exchange experience with them, as well as advance the friendship in a way that serves common interests. For their part, the Head and members of the Group welcomed the Kingdom of Bahrain signing the Declaration of Peace with the State of Israel. They lauded efforts of the Kingdom of Bahrain to promote peace, security and stability in the region. They also expressed their desire to promote the corporate partnership between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the European Parliament, wishing the Kingdom of Bahrain further success. The two sides also discussed a number of topics of common concern during the meeting.
