Assistant Foreign Minister receives Head of European Union Delegation to Bahrain

Manama, May 5 (BNA): Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs, Abdullah bin Faisal bin Jabur Al-Doseri, received today Head of the European Union Delegation to the Kingdom of Bahrain, residing in Riyadh, Ambassador Patrick Simonet. The meeting was attended by the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany, the current representative of the European Union delegation to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Kai Boeckmann, the Head of the Human Rights Sector, Dr. Arwa Hasan Al-Sayid, and the Head of the European Affairs Sector, Ahmed Ebrahim Al-Qarainees. During the meeting, the Assistant Foreign Minister welcomed Ambassador Simonet, lauding relations and cooperation between Bahrain and the European Union and stressing the Kingdom’s keenness to promote cooperation and joint coordination so as to meet common interests. For his part, Ambassador Simonet praised friendly relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the European Union, reviewing ways of boosting cooperation and wishing Bahrain further development. The two sides also discussed a number of issues of common concern.
