Assistant Foreign Minister receives NIHR Chairperson

Manama, Apr. 7 (BNA): The Assistant Foreign Minister, Abdullah bin Faisal bin Jabur Al-Doseri, received in his office at the Ministry’s General Court today, the Chairperson of the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR), Maria Khoury. The Assistant Foreign Minister hailed the achievements of the NIHR, including the implementation of various training programmes, the promotion of human rights and the provision of legal and technical support to human rights forums that contribute to the development of human rights at the national and international levels. For her part, the NIHR Chairperson lauded the efforts of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Human Rights Directorate, affirming keenness of NIHR to continue its cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in order to develop all fields related to human rights. A number of issues of mutual interests were discussed in the meeting.
