Attorney General issues decision

Manama, Apr. 6 (BNA): Head of the Judicial Inspection and the Public Prosecution’s Equal Opportunities Committee Advocate General Chancellor Osama Al Ofi said the Attorney General issued decision 16/2019 transferring Advocate General Chancellor Amina Isa to work at the Judicial Inspection which is in charge of examining the Public Prosecution’s work, evaluate performance and boost capabilities. He added Advocate General Chancellor Amina Isa is the first woman to take up this post, pointing out that that the transfer decisions and determining the members’ work places are based mainly on experience and competence. The decision came out of the Attorney General’s belief in the need to empower women and enable them to play a constructive role, taking into consideration the principle of equal opportunities endorsed by Bahrain at the legislative and practical level to achieve equality. Advocate General Chancellor Amina Isa took up many posts at the Public Prosecution, including taking charge of the International Cooperation Office, presiding the Family and Child Prosecution, the prosecution of the ministries and public bodies and the criminal implementation prosecution and presenting the Public Prosecution before the Court of Appeal.
