Authorities collect evidence after Narathiwat bombing series

NARATHIWAT, April 10 (TNA) -- Security authorities collected evidence at three bombing sites where 13 people were injured in Sungai Kolok district of Narathiwat on Monday evening. They have found fractions of time bombs with one of them weighing nearly 100 kilograms. The first location was in front of Nemo Karaoke shop on Prachawiwat 4 road in Sungai Kolok municipality. Officials found parts of a steel box expected to hold an eight-kilogram bomb. The box was hidden on a Honda Wave motorcycle that had been stolen in Pattani province last year. The second location was at Phichet restaurant which is about 500 meters from the first location. A similar time bomb with the same size was hidden on a red Honda motorcycle that had been reported as being stolen in Tak Bai district of Narathiwat last September. The third location was beside a post office on Thes Pathom road in Sungai Kolok municipality. Officials found that a bomb weighing about 80 kilograms had been put inside a cooking gas cylinder. Surveillance camera footage showed that two people placed a bomb at each location. (END)
