Award distribution ceremony set for September

Manama, Aug.25 (BNA): Nominations for Best Voluntary Project in the Kingdom of Bahrain will conclude on Thursday (August 30). Nominated projects will be scrutinized to ensure they comply with the award rules and regulations before submitting them to a special jury to decide the winners of the 2018 edition. The Shaikh Isa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al-Khalifa Voluntary Work Award acknowledges best projects submitted by individuals, voluntary teams, private associations and residents. Award Secretary-General Yacoub Bouhaza’a said that the jury which will assess the winning works includes Dr. Faleh Al-Ruwaily, Ahmed Al-Ahmadi and media personality Eman Marhoun. In a statement today, he said that the fourth edition is being held under the auspices of His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al-Khalifa, lauding the growing turnout of Bahraini youth participating in the competition. The jury in charge of the projects assessed a total of 45 entries in two days during the third edition of the Shaikh Isa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al-Khalifa Voluntary Work Award before announcing the winners. Bouhaza’a said that different award committees are holding coordination meetings to approve the final arrangements for the prize-distribution ceremony, which will be held in September, as part of festivities marking the Arab Day for Voluntary Work. He paid tribute to HH Shaikh Isa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al-Khalifa for patronising the voluntary work award, now acknowledged as one of the most important national and Arab prizes in this field. The 2018 Shaikh Isa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al-Khalifa Voluntary Work Award is sponsored by Tamkeen, BAS, VIVA, GPIC and Al-Baraka Group.
