Award winners to be announced on January 15

Manama, Jan.5 (BNA): The fifth edition of His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al-Khalifa Award (Promising Star) is attracting more contenders. The overall numbers of children vying for the prize has almost doubled to reach 35 participants, compared with the previous edition. “The Good Word Society is organising the contest in cooperation with the Arab Voluntary Union”, announced the organising committee chairman Ahmed Al-Suleiman. He revealed that the winners would be announced at the opening of the 9th Gulf Forum which will kick-off on the 15th of January under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al-Khalifa. The winners have already been informed. A video shedding light on the award will also showcased at the the 9th Gulf Forum. A child will be chosen on the basis of his achievements to represent the Kingdom of Bahrain abroad. Chaired by Dr. Faleh Al-Roweily, the arbitration jury includes Bodoor Buhajji, Dr. Shikha Battai and Youssef Janahi as members.
