Ayutthaya celebrates Thai Elephant Day 2016

BANGKOK, March 11 (TNA) - Thailand's central Ayutthaya Province has organised a feast for elephants on the occasion of the Thai Elephant Day 2016, which falls on March 13. The event was organised on Friday at an elephant camp, where 70 tables of a Chinese-style feast were arranged to serve 70 elephants with various fruits, together with a merit making ceremony for dead animals in the area. The event was attended by head of the tourism standard quality sector of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports Rattanawalai Khantichanruechai and other relevant parties. (TNA)
