Azerbaijan`s Foreign Ministry denounces so-called presidential elections in Georgia`s Tskhinvali region, South Ossetia

Baku, April 11 (AzerTAc). Azerbaijan`s Foreign Ministry has issued a statement denouncing the conduct of so-called presidential elections in Georgia`s Tskhinvali region, South Ossetia. The statement says “Azerbaijan`s Foreign Ministry reiterates its firm support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia and does not recognize the so called presidential elections held in Georgia`s Tskhinvali region, South Ossetia, on April 8, 2012”. The Ministry expressed its absolute confidence in the importance of the constructive continuation of the current negotiation process to find a possible solution to the conflict.
