Over the past four years, they have shown dedication, commitment, and high levels of competence in all areas. Working alongside the Airport Modernisation Programme’s (AMP) international consultants and contractors, they have gained the required knowledge, expertise, and competencies to work in various disciplines within in the aviation sector. The AMP is one of the most important national projects in the Kingdom’s history, and the members of this programme have played an active role in its various stages."
Mr. Al Binfalah said: "The completion of Tahleeq 1 marks a turning point in the airport’s history. This proud milestone is a testament to the programme’s success and reflects the hard work, dedication, and commitment of everyone involved. Over the past four years, the first group of Tahleeq participants has made exceptional progress in all areas. Meeting every challenge with confidence, determination, and a strong work ethic, they have unquestionably earned their places in both BAC and BIA."
Mr Al Binfalah added: "I would like to thank HE the Minister, the BAC Board of Directors, and Tamkeen for their continuous support, which has played a crucial role in the programme’s overall success. Our shared vision and commitment to developing the skills of young Bahrainis is the driving force behind Tahleeq. Together, we are proactively creating new job opportunities that will help to ensure the Kingdom’s continued growth and prosperity."
Highlighting the programme’s key role in supporting, training, and developing local Bahraini talent, Dr Janahi said: "The Tahleeq programme is in line with Tamkeen’s core objective to develop human capital within the transportation industry, particularly the aviation sector. It creates valuable opportunities that enable Bahrainis to play an active role in the country’s various development projects, including the AMP."
The event also marked the launch of Tahleeq 3, which is the biggest in the series to date. The programme attracts a growing number of applicants each year, which is an indicator of its progress. To meet the increased demand, the number of placements this year has doubled, bringing the total to 40.
The programme runs in parallel with the AMP, which is nearing an advanced stage of completion. In February 2019, the new Passenger Terminal Building will undergo the next phase of testing, providing an opportunity for the new trainees to gain experience working alongside specialised international consultants.
BAC launched the initiative in 2014 in association with Tamkeen and the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications. Through both theoretical and practical training, it equips participants with advanced skillsets required as part of the AMP. The launch of Tahleeq 2 last year saw 20 new Bahraini graduates enter the capacity building programme.
