BACA president meets cultural figures

Manama, Jan. 23(BNA): Bahrain Culture and Antiquities Authority (BACA) President Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al-Khalifa received heads of Bahraini theatres, in the presence of BACA Director-General for Culture and Arts Shaikha Hala bint Mohammed Al-Khalifa. The meeting focused on the BACA support to provide premises for the Bahraini theatres, in recognition of their crucial role in enriching cultural life in the Kingdom of Bahrain. BACA officials reiterated keenness and readiness on supporting cultural societies under their authority. The General Directorate for Culture and Arts supports the programmes and activities of societies in different sectors, including theatre, music, painting, literature, poetry, singing, history and others.
