BACA president meets Moroccan envoy

Manama, Jan. 23 (BNA): Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA) President Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al-Khalifa received Moroccan Ambassador Ahmed Rashid Khatabi. She welcomed the Moroccan envoy, hailing his keenness on getting updated on BACA planned programmes which are lined up for the 13th Spring of Culture Festival, scheduled to start in February. Khatabi commended BACA-led role to conserve heritage, safeguard archeology and organise cultural events and artistic shows as part of effort to promote Bahrain as a cultural hub, pointing out that Morocco would be present in Bahrain which reflects deep-rooted historic relations. BACA President hailed rich Moroccan heritage and cultural momentum, citing particularly prolific events and festivals in Rabat and other towns across the country.
