BACA president participates in Abu Dhabi Cultural Summit

Manama, Apr. 8 (BNA): Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA) president Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa is participating in Abu Dhabi Cultural Summit 2019 upon the invitation of Emirati Minister of Culture Noora bint Mohammed Al Kaabi. Shaikha Mai praised the UAE’s hosting the summit and presenting each time distinguished model that reflects to the world the United Arab Emirates' attention and keenness on culture and its role as the ideal outlook onto the world and showcasing the rich cultural heritage and knowledge assets not only of the UAE but of the entire region. BACA president said her participation was suitable platform where to discuss current cultural issues from a broad perspective, commensurate with the summit’s logo this year "the global trends towards the role of technology and its inclusion in all walks of life especially in the cultural field in order to boost the cultural production." The Abu Dhabi Cultural Summit discusses various issues themed "Cultural Responsibility and Modern Technology", as well as the media, arts, heritage, museums and technology. The summit is held in cooperation between Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Department, The Economist Event, the Royal Academy of Arts, Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation and Museum, and Google.
