BACA President receives Ahli United Bank CEO

Manama, Aug. 14 (BNA): President of Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA) Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa received at Bahrain National Museum today Chief Executive and Managing Director of Ahli United Bank Group Adel Al-Labban who visited the mounds hall in its new look. Ahli United Bank, alongside other parties, sponsored the renovation of the mounds hall at Bahrain National Museum. The hall opened to the public in June in the presence of visitors to the kingdom to attend the 42nd meeting of the World Heritage Committee which convened from June 24 to July 4. The opening also coincided with BACA’s celebration of “Muharraq Capital of Islamic Cuture 2018”. Shaikha Mai thanked Ahli United Bank for its support to Bahrain’s inherent culture and heritage, stressing the key role played by the private sector in preserving the kingdom’s human and cultural heritage. She pointed out Bahrain National Museum’s celebration of its 30th anniversary in December, stressing the rich cultural heritage of Bahrain which spans for thousands of years. Al-Labban praised BACA’s efforts in preserving Bahrain’s human heritage, stressing support of Ahli United Bank to the cultural momentum which is projecting the kingdom’s cultural and civilisational image. He also expressed readiness for more cooperation with BACA to carry out more cultural projects in the future.
