BACA President receives Azeri Ambassador

Manama, Mar.23 (BNA): Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA) President Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa received Riyadh-based Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Bahrain, Shahin bin Shaker Abdullayev. She briefed the ambassador about 2021 BACA plans and programmes, being implemented under the theme “Pearl Path: A Testament to the Economy of an Island”, featured on the UNESCO List of World Heritage Sites. She highlighted ongoing preparations to attend and promote cultural and intangible heritage at Expo 2020 Dubai, adding that BACA events are held in compliance with mandatory precautionary measures for combating the pandemic. The Azeri Ambassador commended BACA achievements, stressing his country’s keen interest to support joint cultural activities to build bridges between the two countries.
