BACA president receives Russian ambassador

Manama, Mar. 12 (BNA): President of the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA), Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa, received the Russian Ambassador to Bahrain, Igor Kremnev, with whom she discussed ways to enhance cultural cooperation between the two friendly peoples. Shaikha Mai stressed that Bahrain and Russia enjoy solid cultural relations that have resulted in outstanding cultural exchange over the years, lauding Russia’s presence in BACA’s events, citing the participation of the Russian Ballet in the opening of the 14th edition of the Spring of Culture Festival on February 25. She also informed the Russian Ambassador about the latest developments of the cultural movement in the kingdom, noting that the Spring of Culture Festival will continue until the end of April, as part of BACA’s programme for this year in which it celebrates Bahrain’s civilisational achievements, under the theme "From Jubilee to Another". The Russian ambassador expressed thanks to Shaikha Mai for her constant communication with all parties that are interested in enriching the cultural movement in Bahrain. He expressed admiration for Bahrain’s remarkable achievements that confirm its civilisational and cultural status, affirming his constant readiness to cooperate with BACA in implementing future cultural projects and programmes.
