BACA President receives UAE Ambassador

Manama, Sept. 7 (BNA): President of the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA), Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa, today received the UAE Ambassador to Bahrain, Shaikh Sultan bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, with whom she discussed the Bahraini-UAE cultural relations. Shaikha Mai expressed gratitude to the ambassador for the influential role he has played in deepening the Bahraini-UAE cultural relations, adding that she is looking forward to the kingdom’s participation in Expo Dubai 2020, the most important civilisational event at the levels of the Middle East, Africa and South Asia. She stressed the importance of seizing the opportunity to shed light on Bahrain’s successes and civilisational accomplishments, and promote it as a world destination for cultural production and promising opportunities. Shaikh Sultan bin Hamdan expressed thanks to Shaikha Mai for her efforts to enrich bilateral cultural relations, affirming that the two countries boast a shared cultural and civilisational heritage that contributes to enhancing the region’s status as a global civilisational and cultural centre.
