Bahrain’s Ambassador in Berlin meets German legislator

Berlin, Mar.27 (BNA): The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Federal Republic of Germany, Abdulla Abdullatif Abdulla, met with Member of the German Parliament (Bundestag) and Spokesperson for human rights and humanitarian aid of the SPD Parliamentary Group in the German Bundestag, Frank Schwabe. The Bahraini Ambassador expressed the pride of the Kingdom of Bahrain in the close friendship and cooperation with the Federal Republic of Germany, referring to the successful experience of the Kingdom of Bahrain in combating with COVID-19. He highlighted Bahrain’s efforts to mitigate the repercussions of the pandemic on the Kingdom by providing medical care, examination services and free treatment, and providing free vaccination to all citizens and residents alike. He underlined the royal directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, to unify national efforts to combat the repercussions of the global spread of COVID-19 to protect citizens and residents’ health and ensure continued programmes and development work. He pointed out the provision of a financial package whose value exceeds 4.5 billion dinars, equivalent to 31% of GDP in support of citizens and the private sector. The ambassador highlighted the national efforts of Team Bahrain led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, which were met with wide international acclaim. The two sides also discussed the efforts of the Kingdom of Bahrain in the field of promoting and protecting human rights and in the field of empowerment and advancement of women and freedom of religion thanks to the comprehensive development process led by His Majesty the King. He highlighted HM the King’s keenness on promoting the values of tolerance and coexistence between members of society and the full enjoyment of all religious and social freedoms, in addition to discussing a number of issues of common interest between the two friendly countries.
