Bahrain’s Ambassador to Washington hails strong Bahrain-US strategic partnership

Washington, Oct.8 (BNA): The Board of Directors of ISHDC International Student House in Washington DC hosted the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United States of America, Shaikh Abdullah bin Rashid Al Khalifa.
The meeting was attended by the Chairman of the Board, Eric Melby, and the CEO, and senior members of the Board of Directors Former officials and ambassadors, Daniel Bremer, such as the former ambassador of the United States of America to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Ambassador Walter Cutler.
The ambassador praised the historical relations and the strength of the strategic partnership linking the Kingdom of Bahrain with the United States of America in various fields, stressing that the governments of both countries are working to strengthen bilateral relations to raise levels of cooperation to broader horizons.
He stressed the role played by the Kingdom in order to achieve security and prosperity in the Middle East, referring to the achievements made during the first year since the signing of the Declaration of Support for Peace with the State of Israel, praising the successful historical visit of the Foreign Minister to the State of Israel recently to achieve more development in various fields.
He affirmed the position of the Kingdom regarding the condemnation of terrorism in all its forms, noting that it formed an impenetrable bulwark in the fight against terrorism.
He indicated that the success achieved by the Kingdom is confirmation that it is moving at a steady pace towards progress, and is constantly working to exploit modern technology and employ it in sustainable development for the benefit of the Bahraini citizen.
In the context of economic growth between Bahrain and the US within the framework of the free trade agreement between them, an American trade zone was recently established in the Kingdom of Bahrain to enhance economic, commercial and industrial cooperation and push the wheel of bilateral trade between the two countries towards greater horizons.
Noting that ISHDC is a non-profit organization, located in Washington D.C., that provides a residential experience to a diverse international community of graduate students, interns, and visiting scholars, as it encourages the policy of intercultural dialogue and communication between diplomatic, governmental and private institutions for life.
