Bahrain’s national days celebrated in Pakistan

Islamabad, Dec.19 (BNA): Bahrain’s Ambassador to Pakistan Mohamed Ebrahim Mohamed, held a reception at the Serena Hotel in the Pakistani capital, Islamabad, on the occasion of the Kingdom of Bahrain’s national celebrations on 16 and 17 December, in commemoration of the establishment of the modern Bahraini state as an Arab and Muslim country founded by Ahmed Al-Fateh in 1783, the 48th anniversary of its full membership in the United Nations, and the 20th anniversary of His Majesty the King’s accession to the throne. Minister of Railways Sheikh Rasheed Ahmad attended the ceremony as a guest of honor representing the Pakistani government, and conveyed the greetings and wishes of the leadership and the Pakistani people to the leadership and people of the Kingdom of Bahrain on this happy occasion. The reception was also attended by a number of senior military officials, ministers, members of the Pakistani parliament, as well as ambassadors accredited to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, press and businessmen, and a large gathering of Pakistani citizens, as well as a number of students from Bahrain and the GCC countries studying in Islamabad.
