Bahrain’s Permanent Representative presents credentials to UNESCO Director General

Paris, Dec. 22(BNA): Bahrain’s Ambassador to the Republic of France Dr. Mohammed Abdulghaffar Abdulla today presented his credentials as Permanent Representative to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization to UNESCO Director-General Audrey Azoulay. Azoulay praised Bahrain’s role in the region in the field of culture, heritage and science, as well as its efforts to support UNESCO projects and programmes. She affirmed UNESCO's readiness to support the priorities of the Kingdom of Bahrain in the areas of the organization's work. Dr. Abdulla highlighted solid relations and constructive cooperation between the Kingdom of Bahrain and UNESCO, which resulted in important cultural projects, including Bahrain's presidency during 2018 of the World Heritage Committee and the hosting the forty-second meeting of the Committee.
