Bahrain’s support to Palestine reiterated

Manama, Dec. 30 (BNA): Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Regional and GCC Affairs, Ambassador Waheed Mubarak Sayyar, participated in the ceremony of lighting the 55th Palestinian torch which was held today by the Embassy of the State of Palestine to the Kingdom of Bahrain.
He extended his deep greeting and appreciation to the brotherly Palestinian people on the anniversary of this celebration, stressing that the Palestinian question will remain the most important Arab and Islamic issue, and comes at the forefront of the priorities and concerns of the foreign policy of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
It is also a supportive attitude for all regional and international endeavors aimed at finding a just, lasting and comprehensive peace that meets the legitimate aspirations and rights of the Palestinian people, and achieves security, peace and stability in the Middle East region, while emphasizing the right of the Palestinian people and other people to establish their independent and sovereign state on the borders of the fourth of June 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital, based on the Arab Peace Initiative, the two-state solution, and relevant international legitimacy resolutions.
The Ambassador also renewed his call to the international community to assume its international responsibility to protect the brotherly Palestinian people from all Israeli violations that are totally inconsistent with the United Nations resolutions and international law, and to compel Israel to abide by the Fourth Geneva Convention of 1949, and the need to work according to a specific time frame to end the Israeli occupation and enable the Palestinian people to achieve all their legitimate rights and establish an independent state, and to achieve security and a just and comprehensive peace in the region
