Bahrain, Arab League cooperation stressed

Manama, Feb. 7(BNA): Cabinet Affairs Minister Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al-Mutawa met Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul-Gheit and stressed Bahrain's keenness on bolstering cooperation with the pan-Arab organisation. The meeting was attended by Shaikh Hosam bin Isa Al-Khalifa, Bahrain Ambassador to Egypt and Permanent Representative to the Arab league Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulrahman Al-Khalifa and Gulf Centre for Strategic Studies (GCSS) Chairman Dr. Omar Al-Hassan. Al-Mutawa underlined the pivotal role of the Arab-League and its dedicated efforts to strengthen joint pan-Arab action and bolster cooperation for the sake of Arab states. Aboul-Gheit expressed thanks to the Kingdom of Bahrain, hailing its keenness on consolidating joint Arab solidarity and supporting the efforts of the Arab League. He paid tribute to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa for their efforts to consolidate Arab coordination. He hailed Bahrain's initiatives to support joint Arab action.
