Bahrain Businesswomen's Society: National Action Charter opened up giant prospects for developing national economy

Manama, Feb. 14 (BNA): Bahrain Businesswomen’s Society (BBS) has congratulated His Majesty the King and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, wife of HM the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women, and Her Highness Shaikha Thajba Bint Salman Al Khalifa, Honorary President of the Society and the loyal people of Bahrain on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the popular consensus on the National Action Charter.
BBS stressed that the National Action Charter has enabled a comprehensive development in all aspects of life and Bahraini women were fortunate. A proof of this is this year’s SCW’s Bahrain Women Day theme and slogan under “Women and Development”.
In a statement, BBS President Ahlam Janahi expressed her pride on this occasion and said that Bahrain, thanks to the vision and wisdom of His Majesty the King’s leadership and his pioneering comprehensive development process, has made historic and distinguished strides, and continues to achieve further gains noting that the National Action Charter embodied an unprecedented vision for the prosperity of an entire nation and its people.
Janahi pointed out the importance of the pivotal role of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister in promoting government work and accelerating the pace of development in various fields, in a way that strengthens the foundations and principles on which the Charter is based in building modern Bahrain and achieving progress in various fields.
Janahi emphasized that this historic annual celebration of the Charter constitutes an opportunity to recall the achievements and successes at all political, economic and social levels led by HM King Hamad and the development that Bahrain has witnessed during the past two decades since the launch of the Charter.
Bahrain has achieved distinguished and remarkable milestones and
giant reforms including politics, parliament, society and culture, and housing, educational, labour and health services.
It has successfully achieved the Millennium Goals approved by the United Nations and reached advanced positions in promoting human development, as well as the economic policy that focus on the constant development of the infrastructure and creating an investment-friendly ecosystem characterized by the provision of attractive financial, commercial and legislative facilities and incentives for investors.
“We cherish and appreciate the directives of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa for the development of Bahraini women in all fields and the efforts invested to promote Bahraini women locally, and in the Arab and international arenas,” the statement said.
