Bahrain commitment to maritime conventions affirmed

Manama, Mar. 8 (BNA): Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications, Kamal bin Ahmed Mohammed, has stressed commitment of Ports and Maritime Affairs to implement international maritime conventions and agreements signed by Bahrain, and to develop the maritime sector performance in accordance with the best international standards and practices. This came during the opening meeting held between the International Maritime Organisation (IMO) and Ports and Maritime Affairs. The Minister pointed out the IMO's visit aims to follow up Bahrain's implementation progress of the Code III and compliance with the conventions and protocols signed with IMO.
