Bahrain condemns terrorist attack in Afghanistan

Manama, Apr. 9 (BNA): Bahrain strongly condemned the terrorist bombing of a military convoy near Bagram base in Afghanistan killing and injuring a number of US soldiers. "The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expresses its deep condolences and sympathy to the families and relatives of the victims, wishing speedy recovery to the injured in this this terrorist attack," the ministry said in a statement. "The ministry affirms that that Kingdom of Bahrain stands by the US in its war on terrorism and its efforts to combat all terrorist organizations that threaten the world's security and stability." It also reiterated Bahrain's unflinching stance that rejects violence, extremism and terrorism in all forms and calls for international cooperation to curb this dangerous phenomenon and drain its funding sources.
