Bahrain condemns terrorist attack against Jordanian peacekeeping patrol in Mali

Manama, Jun 2 (BNA): The Kingdom of Bahrain strongly condemned the armed terrorist attack targeted today a patrol of the Rapid Deployment Force of the United Nations peacekeeping forces in Mali, which resulted in the death of a Jordanian soldier and the injury of two others. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs extended sincere condolences and sympathy to the Government of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, its brotherly people, and the families of the victims, and its wishes for a speedy recovery for the injured. It affirmed Bahrain’s solidarity with the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and its appreciation for the contributions of the Jordanian forces within the international peacekeeping force in maintaining security, stability and peace and providing humanitarian assistance in conflict areas. The ministry urged concerted international efforts to combat extremism and terrorism in all its forms, regardless of its motives or justification.
