Bahrain condemns terrorist attacks in Yemen

Manama: Aug 2. (BNA): Bahrain strongly condemned the missile attacks that targeted Al-Jalaa Camp in Brega, and the terrorist assault on a police station in Aden in the Republic of Yemen, which left dozens of people dead and injured. The Foreign Ministry extended condolences to the families of the victims and wished the injured speedy recovery. It affirmed that such repeated attacks by the Iran-backed Houthi militias continue to destabilize the region and obstruct all efforts to achieve peace in the Republic of Yemen. The ministry stressed Bahrain’s support to the legitimate government in Yemen, backing efforts to reach a political solution based on the GCC initiative and its executive mechanism and the outcomes of the national dialogue and relevant Security Council resolutions, in particular resolution 2216 (2015), ending all forms of external interference that threaten Yemen's unity and territorial integrity.
