Bahrain condemns terrorist bombing in Somalia

Manama, July 17 (BNA): The Kingdom of Bahrain strongly condemned the terrorist bombing that targeted a hotel in the center of Jowhar city near the presidential palace of Hirshabelle State in the Federal Republic of Somalia. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs denounced the heinous act which left a number of people dead and wounded, including government officials. In a statement today, the ministry extended sincere condolences to the families of the victims, the Somali Government and people, wishing the injured a speedy recovery. It reiterated Bahrain's support and solidarity with the Federal Republic of Somalia in its efforts to maintain security and stability and combat extremism and terrorism. It called upon the international community to assume its responsibilities in eliminating extremist terrorist organizations and drying up their financial sources.
