Bahrain condoles with Egypt over peacekeeping mission victims in Mali

Manama, July 6 (BNA): Bahrain condoled with Egypt over the terrorist attack that targeted a logistic convoy of the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali (MINUSMA) that resulted in the death of two Egyptian soldiers and the serious injury of five others. Foreign Affairs Ministry affirmed sympathy with Egypt, its leadership, government and people, and to the families of the victims, and wished a speedy recovery for all the injured. The ministry affirmed the Kingdom’s solidarity with Egypt, and its appreciation for the efforts of its armed forces in the United Nations peacekeeping forces that helped maintain regional and international peace and security. It reiterates its call on the international community to intensify efforts in combating extremist terrorist organizations, and assist Mali in protecting civilians and ensure security and stability in the country.
