Bahrain, Czech relations, cooperation reviewed

Prague, June 4 (BNA): Bahrain’s Ambassador to the Czech Republic residing in Berlin, Abdullah Abdullatif Abdullah, met with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, Martin Tlapa, on the sidelines of the Gulf-Czech Investment Forum. Director of the Middle East Department, Peter Halliday, the Director of Economic Affairs at the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Marek Svoboda, and the Managing Director of Bahrain Mumtalakat Raed Fakhry attended the meeting. The two sides reviewed ways to enhance cooperation between the two countries in the political, economic, investment and cultural fields. They also discussed the prospects for cooperation at the European level, with Prague assuming the rotating presidency of the European Union in July. The meeting covered regional and international issues of common interest.
