Bahrain-Egypt business cooperation discussed

Manama, Jan. 23(BNA): Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) Chief Executive Officer Shakir Ebrahim Al-Shater held a meeting, at Beit Al-Tejjar, with Egyptian Commercial Service Chairman Ahmed Antar and discussed ways of consolidating cooperation between Bahrain and Egypt.  Egyptian Embassy’s Advisor Baher Shuweikhy attended the meeting which focused strengthening joint cooperation in all business sectors. The visit of the delegation coincides with the opening of the Egyptian pavilion at the Autumn Fair, being held at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre (BIECC). The VCCI Chief commended bilateral economic relations, stressing Bahrain’s desire to enhance joint partnerships between the two countries. He welcomed Egyptian companies and businessmen taking part in the fair, which attracts visitors and leading traders from Bahrain and neighbouring GCC and Arab countries.   Egyptian Commercial Service Chairman Ahmed Antar hailed the efforts exerted by the chamber to strengthen economic relations binding the two countries. He stressed the importance of intensifying international exhibitions and setting up joint economic ventures. He said that around 60 companies are taking part in the Autumn Fair, stressing the keenness of the private sector in Egypt to take part in different trade and economic events in Bahrain, towards bolstering investment ventures.
