Bahrain-Egypt ties praised

Manama, Jan. 3 (BNA): Speaker Fouzia bint Abdullah Zainal emphasised that the upcoming period will see more parliamentary cooperation with the Egyptian Parliament chaired by Ali Abdel Aal, and reiterated the Kingdom of Bahrain’s perpetual solidarity alongside with Egypt. Zainal’s remarks came as she received today Ambassador of Egypt to Bahrain, Suha Mohammed Ibrahim. The Council of Representatives will always seek to boost the bilateral cooperation in all fields, the speaker added, citing the longstanding strong ties between the two countries fostered by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and President Abdelfattah El Sisi. The speaker commended Egypt's strong supportive stance with Bahrain in all the political, economic and security arenas. The ambassador praised Bahrain’s democratic progress, expressing her admiration of the polls results achieved by the Bahraini women, assuming the Parliamentary Speakership post through direct and free polls, wishing the Bahraini parliament further successes.
