Bahrain hails Tunisia's election as UN Security Council non-permanent member

Manama, Jun. 7 (BNA): The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain welcomes the election of the Republic of Tunisia as a non-permanent member of the Security Council 2020-2021after achieving 191 votes in the elections held today in the United Nations General Assembly in New York. The election reflects the international recognition of the contributions and efforts of the Republic of Tunisia at both the regional and international levels to preserve international peace and security. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs extends congratulations to the Republic of Tunisia on this occasion and wishes it success. It affirms that this international achievement serves the interests of Arab and Islamic issues and supports collective joint action to face all challenges and reach a just and lasting solution for the crises of the world.
