Bahrain Holy Quran Grand Prix concluding ceremony to be held on May 13

Manama, May 12 (BNA): Under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments and the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs will organise the concluding ceremony of the 24th edition of the Bahrain Holy Quran Grand Prix tomorrow Monday (May 13) at Ahmed Al Fateh Islamic Centre, after Taraweeh Prayer. After a recitation of some verses from the Holy Quran and the ministry’s speech, the winner of the competition will be honoured alongside the other winners in various categories. Participating parties and the jury will also receive prizes. The Islamic Affairs Directorate said the contest was launched in 1996 under an Amiri donation by late Shaikh Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa who gave great care to the Holy Quran and was very keen to instill its principles in the youth. The annual competition, held under the patronage of HM the King, enjoys community partnership with the Ministry of Education, the Interior Ministry and the Labour and Social Development Ministry. The Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments called on people to attend the concluding ceremony to support the Holy Quran memorisers and encourage people to learn the Holy Quran.
