Bahrain to host 9th GCC Child Forum

Manama, Dec. 21 (BNA): The Good Word Society will organise the ninth GCC Child Forum, in cooperation with the Arab Union for Voluntary Work. Honorary President of the Good Word Society, HH Shaikh Isa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, will patronise the forum which will be held between January 15 and 18, 2019, under the theme “We Learn Life through Playing”. Good Word Society Chairman and Arab Union for Voluntary Work President, Hassan Bu Hazza, stated that the forum features educational, cultural and service programmes and activities, to be presented and overseen by educational experts, noting that the forum aims to develop children and prepare a generation with leadership skills that would serve their society and nation. Through workshops, games and various programmes, the forum aims to teach the participants the values of voluntary work, hone their life skills and help them create positive relationships and communicate with others, he said. He affirmed that HH Shaikh Isa bin Ali’s patronage of the forum reflects Bahrain’s interest in ensuring the good upbringing of youngsters. He pointed out that children aged between 7 and 13 may register in the forum’s activities between December 20 and January 5. An “Arab Exhibition” will be held on the sidelines of the 9th GCC Child Forum, with the participation of the embassies of Arab countries.
